Jason is a Managing Member and Chief Operating Officer of Yellow Leaf.

Jason is an accomplished pharmacy professional with over two decades of dedicated experience in hospice, palliative care, and ambulatory settings. He holds a Doctorate in Pharmacy from Ohio Northern University and completed the Executive Education program at Stanford Graduate School of Business. His postgraduate education includes an ASHP Pharmacy Practice and Patient/Medication Safety Residency at OhioHealth, where he contributed to practices that won the ASHP Award for Excellence in Medication-Use Safety and the Best Practices Award in Health-System Pharmacy.

Throughout his career, Jason has directly collaborated with patients, nurses, and physicians, providing expert recommendations on medications and treatments. He possesses comprehensive knowledge in hospice operations and pharmacy benefits management, having successfully managed the largest hospice pharmacy service provider in the industry. Jason has been instrumental in developing numerous hospice-centric solutions, including advanced analytics and reporting, business intelligence, and machine learning/artificial intelligence platforms. He is also a respected author, with several journal articles and textbooks to his name, notably the Palliative Care Consultant Guide.

For six years, Jason served as the NHPCO Pharmacist Section Leader, where he spearheaded initiatives with CMS and the DEA on critical topics such as hospice drug disposal, Medicare Part D & relatedness, and CMS CR8358/10573 billing. He was the lead author on significant publications, including the NHPCO Prognosis/Relatedness Algorithms and Deprescribing Guidelines. Jason’s commitment to education is further demonstrated by his past faculty positions at Ohio Northern University Raabe College of Pharmacy, The Ohio State University College of Pharmacy, and Capital University.
